Hotel Villa Baracoa, This complex is made up by "El Castillo” (The Castle) Hotel and “Porto Santo” Hotel. The first one is located in Baracoa City in the rebuilt installations of an old Spanish Fortress known by “Seboruco of Santa Bárbara” Castle. The access to the city is an outstanding attraction for the visitors because of the so famous road called “La Farola ". La Farola is a kind of ascending road in spiral built during the first half of the 60´s in the last century, with 11 hanging bridges whose maximum height is located in the well-known place called Altos de Cotilla, at 600 meters above the sea level; also at only 30 minutes by car from Manguana Beach and at a few kilometers from the local airport. It offers panoramic views of the mountains, of the city and of one of the near bays. The famous Yunque de Baracoa can also be seen very clearly from the hotel; an excellent place to rest and to enjoy nature tourism.
There are 34 rooms distributed in 2 floors, all with air conditioning system, with bathroom, shower, telephone service, satellite television and cable TV, radio, and safe deposit box.
Other services and facilities include pool with a safe area for children, barbecue, restaurant, bar, night club, 24-hour medical service, store, parking lot, and other different recreational activities.
A special night called Baracoesa is offered to the visitors who can enjoy authentic rhythms of the region like the K i r i b á and the N e n g ó n. Also, there is a wide-ranging program of excursions available for places like Baracoa downtown declared "National Monument"; the Matachín Fortress and La Punta Fortress; the Joa fortified towers; the almighty Toa River, and a visit to the cemetery.
On the other hand, “Porto Santo” Hotel is another accommodation alternative for the visitor. The name Porto Santo was given by Christopher Columbus to the current Baracoa Bay. The hotel is next to this bay , at only 500 meters from the airport ,next to a small private beach where in accordance with the legend, Christopher Columbus himself planted the famous Cruz de Parra (grapevine), considered the oldest religious object that is conserved today related to the presence of Spain in America.
There are 60 rooms in Porto Santo Hotel, all of them with a pleasant decoration and with a wonderful view to the bay or the center of Baracoa City; they all have a small balcony or private patio, air conditioning system, bathroom, hot and cold water, safe deposit box, radio, telephone service, and satellite television.
